The Alfa Laval decanters of the Sigma series have been designed for two-phase processing. The way in which the decanter has been designed brings a number of benefits to the processing of the oil, including a higher quality as well as a higher yield than the norm. SIGMA decanters with ALFA LAVAL technology can be defined as “smart decanters” also thanks to the ease of access to the drum (stainless steel lid that opens quickly and easily), representing the ideal choice for customers looking for high performance, reliability and high quality. The entire range of the Sigma series is equipped with a double inverter system called “Basic”, which allows the adjustment and adaptation of the differential revolutions of the screw during processing; this mechanism allows considerable energy savings and guarantees high performance of the decanter on any type of processing. The decanters of the Sigma series work without adding dilution water, thus allowing to obtain an Extra Virgin Olive Oil rich in polyphenols. The design of the Sigma series was developed on each decanter by focusing attention on the diameter, length and number of revolutions of the machine, allowing for performance in terms of quality and quantity above the norm.
